Our Community

Community Promotions & Giveaways during Covid-19

2020/21 has been an extremely difficult period for many in our community and although we haven't been able to get involved in our usual community events, our team have been busy with online activities to offer support and spread cheer locally.

From promoting other local businesses during the lockdowns, to running regular competitions and giveaways, we have managed to put our strong social media presence to good use during these challenging times.

#20YearsOfJohnsons

To celebrate our 20th years in business, we set about rewarding some of our most loyal customers and contractors with random acts of kindness during. Our Summer Garden Party, hosted at The Evesham Hotel, also allowed us to share memories of our 20 years in the Vale of Evesham with some of our longest-standing clients.

 VECTA
Members of our team are involved with the running of the Vale of Evesham Commerce & Tourism Association (VECTA), which supports local trade and tourism and works to make Evesham an even better place to live, work and do business.

 Evesham United FC
We are delighted to announce that our partnership with Evesham United FC will continue into 2021 and beyond.   We continue to supporting our local team with a sponsorship deal, which includes new kits for the club’s youth team. Look out for us at the next   game!

Redditch Royals

Our Redditch Manager, Steve Such has coached the Redditch Royals basketball team, leading to Johnsons becoming their main sponsor from 2019. We have already supplied a brand-new team kit and continue to follow their successes!

Local events

From Evesham’s Port Street Fayre to local school fetes, the Johnsons team have enjoyed fundraising for some fantastic causes with our How many balloons in the Johnsons car? competitions. Featuring ‘Estate agent in the stocks’ and giveaways for the kids, these family friendly events are great fun.

Caring Hands in The Vale

We believe that everyone should have the right to a safe, warm and comfortable home. We have supported the excellent work of Diane Bennett and her team at Caring Hands in the Vale to relieve homelessness and deliver Christmas food parcels to local people in need.

Fun on the River Avon

The River Avon is one of Evesham and Pershore’s most beautiful assets and we love spending time playing on the water. Our team have enjoyed paddle-boarding on summer’s evenings and have competed in the Pershore Bell Boat Regatta.

Battle of Evesham Festival

Now one of Evesham’s most successful events, The Battle of Evesham Festival attracts thousands of people to the Crown Meadow in August each year. As well as sponsoring the festival, members of the Johnsons team have been out and about, helping to prepare for the arrival of around 15,000 visitors.

Pershore Rotary Club

Johnsons have maintained a close relationship with the Rotary Club of Pershore and the Pershore Rotary Business Club to support fundraising efforts and local events during recent years. Our annual support for the Pershore Tree of Lights helps to raise funds for some great local and national causes.

Midlands Air Ambulance

As supporters of a sell-out jazz concert in 2019, in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance, we were delighted to enjoy an evening of music from the world-renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra. An auction of promises, led by local auctioneer and Rotarian Richard Williams helped to raise over £1,000.

CEO Sleepout

Our Director, Tom Tarver, joined several other Worcestershire business leaders to spend a night sleeping under the stars to raise awareness and funds for local homelessness charities. The event raised over £38,000 to support Worcestershire’s St Pauls Hostel and Magg’s Day Centre.

Mock Job Interviews

After some rewarding experiences at The Bewdley School, conducting mock interviews with students in recent years, and following plenty of experience in recruiting to our own team, we have learned that many people have limited support and guidance to help them prepare for interview. We offer local people the opportunity to practice with a friendly local employer. Mock interviews will be conducted by members of our management team and constructive feedback will be offered.
